# How to play Arrow Puzzle

Every arrow wants to leave the board. Your job is to find the order that lets them all go.

5 MIN READUPDATED NOVEMBER 2026

01 · The rules

## Every arrow wants to leave.

Each arrow points up, down, left, or right. Tap it, and it tries to travel in that direction. If the lane is clear, the arrow leaves the board. If another arrow is in the way, the move is rejected and you lose one of your three hearts. The goal is to clear every arrow without running out of hearts.

That is the whole loop. The puzzle is not about speed or reflexes; it is about finding the order. A board that looks crowded is usually a board with one or two key blockers. Clear those, and the rest opens up.

**Free path**

The lane is open. Tap the arrow and it leaves.

**Blocked**

Another arrow sits in the lane. Clear it first.

**Clear**

The board empties and the stars are counted.

02 · A good first move

## Start at the edges.

The easiest arrows are usually the ones pointing out of the board from an edge cell. They have the shortest distance to travel and the fewest chances to be blocked. Clear a few of those first, and you create empty lanes for the arrows behind them.

1. 01**Scan the perimeter**

   Look for arrows on the outside edge that point away from the board. Those are almost always safe.
2. 02**Follow the new space**

   Each cleared arrow leaves an empty lane. Check which arrow is now pointing into it.
3. 03**Save the center for later**

   Central arrows usually have the longest routes. Clear the outside first, then work inward.

03 · Reading the board

## Find the arrow that unlocks the most.

Not every free arrow is equally useful. A good move removes one arrow; a great move opens a lane that frees two or three more. Before you tap, ask what the board will look like after the move.

**Look for shared lanes**

If two arrows point into the same corridor, clearing the blocker helps both.

**Work from open space**

Treat empty cells as roads. Extend the road before you attack the crowded middle.

**Pause when stuck**

Rescan the whole board. The move you need is often on the side you are not looking at.

04 · Stars and mistakes

## Three stars, one clean run.

Every level starts with three stars and three hearts. A hint, a reference-line preview, or a blocked move lowers the star rating by one each; a finished run always keeps at least one star. Running out of hearts fails the level. You can always retry, and the board stays the same, so a failed run is a chance to learn the route.

**Clear the board**

The first star is for finishing.

**No hints or lines**

Solve it without the helper tools.

**No blocked moves**

Read the lane before you tap.

05 · Daily and themes

## A reason to come back.

The Daily Challenge is one board for everyone, refreshed at your local midnight. Finish it to keep your streak and record a time on the daily leaderboard. The Weekly Theme adds twelve themed puzzles every Monday; each one uses the same rules with a different set of arrow shapes.

06 · FAQ

## Questions from the board.

<details>

<summary>What happens if I tap a blocked arrow?</summary>

The move is rejected, one heart is lost, and the run loses a star. The board does not change, so you can try a different route.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Do hints cost a star?</summary>

Yes. Using the hint button removes one star from that run. The reference-line preview also costs a star. You can still finish the level and keep the remaining stars.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Is there a timer on every level?</summary>

Later campaign levels add a countdown. The first levels and the daily puzzle are untimed, so you can study the board at your own pace.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I change how the board looks?</summary>

Yes. Open Settings and choose Paper / Calm, Paper / Macaron, or Neon Grid. The visual theme changes the board colors and arrow style; it does not change the puzzle.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How far does the campaign go?</summary>

The Arrow Puzzle campaign supports up to 3,000 levels. It starts with 42 fixed boards, followed by later boards as they become available. Weekly themes offer additional puzzles.
